Dr Smith treats general ENT conditions and has advanced subspecialty training in Children's ENT Disease, Head and Neck Tumours & Cancer, and Rhinology (Nose, Sinus and Sleep problems)
Dr Smith was awarded his medical degree at the University of New South Wales. He then underwent advanced surgical training in ENT and Head & Neck Surgery which he completed in 2010 (Fellow of The College of Otorhinolaryngologists South Africa). He then spent more than 5 years in further advanced subspecialty training abroad and in Australia in Head & Neck and Tumour/ Cancer Surgery, Paediatric (Children's) ENT, and Rhinology & Sleep.
Dr Smith was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and thus is one of only a handful of ENT surgeons to hold dual international College Fellowships (Australia and South Africa).
Dr Smith has published articles in numerous peer-reviewed scientific journals and continues to have a strong interest in Academics, including the training of Registrars from the Westmead Hospital ENT Unit.
Aside from offering a comprehensive ENT service, Dr Smith's areas of sub-specialty include adult & paediatric:

• thyroid / parathyroid surgery
• head & neck cancer/ tumours including salivary gland disease
• paediatric ear disease
